Sample Poor Letter of Recommendation

Test Poor Letter of Recommendation Letters of proposal are basic to your master's level college application, and later on, youll find that they are basic pieces of your application to temporary jobs, post-docs, and staff positions. Take care in mentioning your suggestion letter in light of the fact that not all letters are useful. Focus on signs that the educator is hesitant to compose for your benefit. A fair or even impartial letter won't help your application and will even damage it.â ~~ A Sample Poor Letter of Recommendation: Dear Admissions Committee:  â It is my pleasure to compose for the benefit of Lethargic Student, who has applied for confirmation at XY University. I am Lethargics guide and have known her for about a long time since she was a first year recruit. In Fall, Lethargic will be a senior. She’s brilliant, spurred, and has quality of character. In the event that you might want to get familiar with Lethargic, kindly don't hesitate to get in touch with me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx or email xxxxxx.edu  Sincerely,Passionate Prof ~~~~~~~~~~ For what reason is this letter average? There are no subtleties. The employee obviously knows the understudy just as a counsel and has never had her in class. In addition, the letter talks about just material that is clear in her transcript. You need a letter that goes past posting the courses youve taken and your evaluations. Look for letters from teachers who have had you in class or regulated your exploration or applied exercises. A consultant who has no other contact with you is anything but a decent decision since the person in question can't expound on your work and can't offer models that represent your capabilities and your fitness for graduate work.

Paper Discussion Questions

Paper Discussion Questions The Carlsbad Resolutions of 1819 seem like an extreme measure to control the youth as much as possible. The students are usually the open minded ones, and if you can limit their freedom, then you can limit rebellion, if you can limit rebellions, then you can avoid unexpected costs. This seems to be what the creators of these resolutions were thinking about. There resolutions are outrageous. They take full control over the lives of the students, from groups, research, publications, and even professors. The supervisor could be fired for no reason and the student would be left hanging with his term paper. Their study group could be seen as unauthorized and could also be closed down. The new agent that was to be introduced to each university has much influence. Anything suspicious is now under his control. These resolutions limit the liberty of many people are thus inappropriate. Not only does it put everyone on campus under a lot of stress, it thus effects the wellbeing of the university. If students and professors can’t have favorable conditions to work, their products are likely to be a lot worse than they could be.

The Sonnet And Early Modern Literature - 3380 Words

The beginning of the 1500’s became an important time for the sonnet and early modern literature. Thomas Wyatt and Henry Howard were the first to introduce the form to England by translating the sonnets of the overtly influential Italian poet Petrarch, giving a firm foundation for many others including that of William Shakespeare to expand and contrast. Consisting of fourteen lines, the sonnet follows a specific rhyme scheme and rhythm. Although seemingly compact, the sonnet is used by many to express both the thought and emotion of the poet, from this it is evident that although superficially short in structure, the poet is still able to elaborate to an extent that touches the reader making it sincere to the reader at first, however as we†¦show more content†¦In many ways the sonnet was as much about the cleverness of the poet as it was about his devotion to his beloved.† From this we can see that the formal cleverness does attract the reader as well as its ela boration, with this being said the sincerity of the sonnet remains a constant theme in the sonnets. During Shakespeare’s sonnets he makes the sincerity of the sonnets known through his use of illusion, particularly during sonnet 130 where he expresses a somewhat blunt honesty, this honesty presents the notion of sincerity in Shakespeare’s sonnets, however as we explore them further the insincerity surrounding the sonnets becomes increasingly more evident. Sonnet 130 is used to shock the audiences with a surprisingly honest outlook in regards to his love as a way of expressing his view that her inner beauty is more important to him than any of her bodily features. It could be possible to argue that perhaps Shakespeare’s sonnets are sincere and as an alternative it is Petrarch’s sonnets that remain insincere as a result of the unrealistic expectation and the blindness the narrator feels when referring to the physical attributes of Laura. Shakespeare is simply demonstrating realism as he speaks of a real woman and not of a flawless unrealistic woman made fr om the creation of convention at the time. Therefore, reality remains greatly significant when we think about perfection, nothing is perfect in this world but rather we are faced with the concept

Mary Shelleys Frankenstein and Christopher Marlowes Dr....

Superman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman; these are some examples of the modern day hero. Most call this form of a hero a Super Hero. In the early nineteenth century, the popular hero of the day was the romantic hero. Mary Shelly gives a great picture of this hero in her novel Frankenstein. She uses Victor Frankenstein, the creator of the famous â€Å"Frankenstein’s Monster† as her character which embodies the traits of a romantic hero. The model was relatively new; however, Christopher Marlowe had written a character in the early fifteenth century which embodied the same characteristics. These attributes of romanticism in the form of a hero are seen in both Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein and Christopher Marlowe’s Dr. Faustus in very much the same†¦show more content†¦During this chase, he says that he has â€Å"been possessed by a frenzy† and that he â€Å"was reserved for vengeance†(Shelly 150). Clearly Victor is obsessed with locating an d executing his creation. This particular obsession leads to further mental madness on his part and also to his death even after he is rescued by Robert Walton in the Arctic Sea. In Marlowe’s masterpiece, Faustus is obsessed with learning. In and of itself, that is not a bad thing; however, this obsession with learning soon turns to obsession with the dark arts, magic, and the devil. He exclaims that he â€Å"will live in speculation of this dark art† as long as he can or â€Å"till Mephistopheles return†(Marlowe 14). He exclaims his obsession in his lair after he learns that he can use the dark arts to summon spirits. Later in the book, the Good Angel implores Faustus to â€Å"lay that damned book aside† and to â€Å"gaze not upon it†(Marlowe 55). The Good Angel is trying to cure Faustus of his obsession but ultimately he does not succeed. Faustus’s obsession eventually leads to his famed deal with the devil in which he sells his soul to Lucifer for 24 years of Mephistopheles’s power. This deal is clearly detrimental to his relationship with Christ and its roots trace back to his obsession with learning. When Frankenstein and Faustus experience the Internal battles that all romantic heroes face, Shelly and Marlowe are trying to show that there is a fine line between flawed and completely evil and that
